Today we’re gonna go over 5 stories about lifelong companionships that I believe fit the theme.

They’re all going to be non romantic and vary from several different universes.

Goku and Vegeta

Goku and Vegeta are 2 of the most iconic pairs in all of DragonBall Ball Z. Goku is the main character in this story, and eventually crosses paths with someone who starts off as his enemy—Vegeta. Eventually they get over the slump of being strangers and enemies, to a pair that clearly appears to be in the journey called life for the long haul. They save the Earth numerous times and become the standard of what it means to have a person that’ll always push you to greatness.

Ed, Edd and Eddy

Ed Edd and Eddy are 3 of the best representations of lifelong companionship for my life. These guys grew up on the cul-de-sac together since toddlers, and the rest is history. Every day they’d show up ready to interact with the rest of the kids around them and do whatever possible to earn some money from them. All the adventures they’d go on would be together! Whenever they’d have an individual problem, they do whatever they can to help each other out.

Batman and Robin

We’re going into the DC Universe with another duo that many could identify. You don’t have to do much muscle memory exercise to notice that most representations of Batman would always include his Boy Wonder, Robin. Whenever you think of someone that shows up to the aid of Batman, you can always count on this guy to show up.

Rocky and Apollo

Here we are with another popular side by side comparison of friendship that I feel has to be discussed.

Naruto and Sasuke

We’re back in the anime world with one of the most popular stories ever being Naruto. I just decided to add in his lifelong tie partner as Sasuke.

Final Thoughts

That theme I mentioned is about lifelong companionships that’s not necessarily romantic.

I clearly went with some of the most impactful relationships in fiction that had a lot of impact on me growing up because I truly believe it reflects some of the very ones I hold to this day.

I’m absolutely not even beginning to scratch the surface of all the relationships that fit this theme I brought up to you.
