Handwritten letters or notes from a loved one

Handwritten Notes

Handwritten notes hold a special value to me because they’re solidified. I have a text message that can stay with me forever.

I’d be lying if I say that I got a drawer full of them, but where I do hold quite a few is through my school yearbooks.

100% of them are from people I don’t talk to anymore, but I have a great memory of who it was that wrote in my yearbook.

So that could be considered an ode to everybody who took the time to write something for me in there.

I wouldn’t tell them what to say and I have a great idea of what people really thought of me when they wrote into them.

They feel special for me because I’m almost positive that I won’t ever speak to them again, but it’s the last thing they sent to me.

It could be something funny, serious, or anything that you could think of.

I have a luxury in having variety out of what was wrote, but those are special to me because I was anywhere from 12 years old to 17.

There’s plenty of people that can’t tell you what their childhood was like with written proof to back up their narrative.

Those are all the validation that I could ask for when I wanna think and reflect on the type of person I really was back then.

If you’re someone that gets a chance to have a compilation of messages written to them, I encourage you to take up that offer.

Those are memories that last a lifetime and give you the raw/uncut and unedited version of what your peers really thought of you.
